Updates
On June 24th Hamilton approved a temporary pause on all datacentre development to give city staff and councillors time to draft Canada's first municipal regulatory framework for AI datacentres.
The motion passed in a 15–1 vote and can be found here.
Vancouver and Toronto have now tabled similar motions. Mississauga, Burlington, Edmonton and Miramichi will in the coming weeks.
